DFW Photography {Personal Reflection 2014}

Hello faithful blog readers! Thank you for hanging in there this year and being fabulous!! This has been one of those years that I can honestly say I NEVER saw coming. I’ve been on the ride of my life and couldn’t possibly know how God saw it fit to choose me for this ride. Most of you reading this know that at the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014, my life took a dramatic turn for what I had no idea was going to be the best turn of my life. After ending a long-term relationship, God saw it fit to introduce me to the most wonderful man in the world who I’m sure was created just for me. It was definitely a testament of God’s faithfulness and my complete acknowledgement of Him who created me and knows exactly what’s best for me. He doesn’t need my help in these situations and this is something I continually learn.

After beginning this new journey with the amazing Stewart, I took the plunge to go to Charlotte to visit friends and to also have a mentoring session with the fabulous Beautiful Mess (www.thebeautifulmess.com). Candice and I were friends when I lived there back in 2006 and have kept in touch. More so, I’ve watched she and Dan turn her photography love into an amazing business and I wanted to learn from someone that I believe really does it right! It was a great experience and I’m so glad I did it. Coming back from that experience and ready to take on the photography world, I actually ended up giving it a little bit of the backseat. This new relationship in my life took the front seat and I worked very hard, as did my amazing man, to get to know the ins and outs of what seemed (and still seems) to be the best thing to ever happen to me.

Let me stop here and say, I’m still open for business!! I am ready to take on anything that comes my way. In fact, in between all that, I’ve shot bridals and engagement photos for some dear friends, a wedding, a live engagement, a family session or three, and keep on learning through various opportunities. I just found that my efforts were better focused on my full-time counseling job and my very special relationship for this season in my life.

2015 is going to be amazing, I just know it! I look forward to working with you, your friends and family. Please spread the word about KTP and know I’m still here and ready to go! Thank you for your constant support and for reading this whole thing, if you made it to the end! 🙂 Blessings and love to you this year and always.

Happy New Year!!!
